My name is Mulemwa Mukande and I am currently an LLM student at SOAS, University of London. My first degree was from the University of Kent where I graduated with an LLB in 2013. The BPTC was the next step for me and I was called to the bar in 2014. I decided to take part in the Vis Moot because I heard about how prestigious an event it is from colleagues and I genuinely thought it would be an enjoyable experience which it has been so far. The greatest part of the moot is the diversity we have in the team including the great synergy among us. Preparing for the Vis Moot has helped me develop a greater interest in arbitration and greatly improved my knowledge base of arbitral procedure. Unfortunately I cannot participate as an oral speaker but the whole experience has nonetheless been nothing short of excellent. After my LLM I intend on starting pupillage or in the alternative a PhD.
